Breast Augmentation - What is it
Breast is the eternal symbol of femininity. Thus, it is hardly surprising the fact that breast augmentation is the most commonly performed aesthetic procedure worldwide.
The ultimate goal is to obtain a pair of breasts in harmony with each individual patient's body.
- If you want a better proportioned or more appealing figure
- when pregnancy, weight loss or aging has affected the size and shape of your breasts
- to restore symmetry if one of your breasts is smaller than the other
The operation is performed under general anesthesia and consists of placing last-generation silicone implants. The implants are placed through a small incision either below or above the pectoralis major muscle, depending on the size of the existing breast and the skin elasticity. The incision is meticulously sutured, leaving in a long term an imperceptible scar.
A sport- type elastic bra has to be worn for about 4-6 weeks, while the patient can return to her daily activities (e.g. work) after a couple of days and to sports activities after about a month. The functionality of the breast (breast- feeding and sensation) is preserved.
- natural long-term result
- symmetry of your breasts with your body habitus
